Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth.

CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
We are seeking a Sourcing Manager, Silicon to join CSCP. You will join the team as a key driver to deliver operational excellence with a focus on hardware demand / supply optimization, while keeping the Microsoft Cloud at the cutting edge of technology.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 5+ years experience (including internships) in Data Science / Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and / or OperationsOR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 4+ years experience in Data Science / Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and / or OperationsOR equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in silicon supply chain.
Other Requirements :
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings : Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles o OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related rolesOR equivalent experience.
- Technical or Business degree, with direct experience in semiconductor supply chain
- Demonstrated experience with change management in a manufacturing environment
- Commercial relationship experience in Operations Management or Factory Management
- Global manufacturing, semiconductor technology, and supply chain process efficiency
Sourcing and Category Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities
- Defines and executes the silicon sourcing strategy
- Demonstrates expertise in operations and the silicon technology landscape
- Main contact point for contract and price negotiation, ensures compliance with SLAs, collaborates cross-functionally on performance scorecard and competitive benchmarking
- Introduces new products and processes into the silicon supply chain
- Proactively mitigates risk throughout operations by holding teams accountable for all aspects of supply, including technical, schedule, and operational risks
- A critical member of change management execution across the silicon supply chain, including demand attainment, capacity planning, and process efficiency
