CDL Shuttle Driver

Job Description$2,500 Sign on Bonus Offered to Eligible CandidatesGeneral PurposeShuttle trailers from the yard to Shipping and Receiving bays for loading and unloading.

Keep the yard neat and orderly.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransport trucks and trailers for loading and repairs, as necessary, according to policies and proceduresPick up appropriate empty trailer that will be needed for outgoing loads and trailers to be unloaded by working with plant Shipping and Receiving departmentsMaintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log to ensure accurate disposition and trackingComplete driving and delivery functions safely to assigned locationsFollow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the areaDeliver product to local customers as neededDedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arriveFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsExhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgmentAdhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformityAttend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)The requirements here are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee;

RequirementsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED or equivalent PreferredMust have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence.

Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school.
