We have a position for a current product support engineer of electrical and electronic components. This role supports commercial vehicle electric drive systems and lithium iON batteries.
Job Location : Local to Columbus, Indiana.
What you will be doing :
- Troubleshooting Battery Management System (BMS) controls
- Documenting the issue and proposing a solution
- Generate technical reports and presentations as needed with the ability to present information in a clear and organized manner.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas :
- Electrical Distribution and Electrical Systems
- BEV and PHEV battery system solutions and technologies.
- Understanding of control systems hardware, including sensor technology, control software and diagnostics.
- Experience in Electrical Distribution System standards and design guidelines.
- EV architecture
- Troubleshooting
- Good communicator written and verbal

What you'll need to be successful :
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
Experience of Electrical Distribution and Electrical Systems
- Experience with battery management systems (BMS)
- Experience of typical BEV and PHEV battery system solutions and technologies.
Understanding of control systems hardware, including sensor technology, control software and
diagnostics.
Experience in Electrical Distribution System standards and design guidelines.
System level understanding of Electronic Control Module (ECM) and interactions between various electric systems
Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving in the electrification space and quality decision making is required.
