We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Greenwood Village, Colorado, United States.
The role involves payroll processing for a large workforce in a fast-paced environment, requiring a strong understanding of accounting and payroll laws.
Responsibilities :
- Maintaining and updating payroll records, including tracking changes in employment status
- Ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and payroll regulations
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions
- Calculating and processing wages, bonuses, and deductions
- Collaborating with the HR team in support of employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Processing payroll for a large number of employees with precision and timeliness
- Preparing and submitting payroll tax filings and other required reports to federal, state, and local agencies
- Staying up-to-date on payroll best practices and changes in legislation
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end reporting, including W-2s and 1099s
- Conducting regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce
- Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration
- Proficiency in About Time software
- Ability to handle various Accounting Functions
- Experience in Auditing
- Familiarity with Benefit Functions
