Position : Quality Supervisor
Schedule : Monday - Thursday, 6 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm
Position Summary :
The Quality Supervisor oversees the Quality Department, focusing on developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems.
The Quality Supervisor ensures that quality assurance and control systems are effectively established and maintained to guarantee the highest product safety and quality levels.
Key responsibilities include :
- Defining and specifying standards, methods, procedures, testing, and product reliability.
- Ensuring products meet high safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards.
- Leading and developing individuals, processes, and systems to maintain these standards.
- Leads implements, and conducts audits on inspection work instructions, processes, and procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Audit Activities : Generate and conduct audits on inspection work instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Liaison Roles : Liaise for first article inspections, source inspections, Designated Quality Representative (DQR), and customer reviews.
- RMA Investigations : Investigate incoming Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests and determine disposition.
- Non-Conformance Communication : Investigate and communicate nonconformances to manufacturing and upper management through weekly Material Review Board (MRB) informational meetings.
- Corrective and Preventative Actions : Investigate and initiate corrective and preventative actions internally and externally.
- AS9100 QMS Oversight : Oversee the AS9100 Quality Management System to ensure product standards are maintained.
- Collaboration : Work with visual inspection / test teams to ensure conformance to customer specifications and procedures.
- Data Analysis : Conduct data analysis for statistical process control and root cause analysis.
- Process Improvement : Identify and correct problems and inefficiencies in the department's processes, materials, equipment, or skills as required.
- Team Environment : Create an environment that promotes excellent performance and positive morale.
- Employee Management : Hire, discipline, and terminate employees as required and per company policy.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, or related fields or
- Professional Experience : 4+ years’ experience in quality, engineering, or related manufacturing fields.
- Supervisory Experience : Previous experience with management / supervision of others.
- Employee Development : Ability to develop, coach, and motivate employees based on their strengths and discretion.

- ISO-9000 and AS9100 Knowledge : Working knowledge of ISO-9000 and AS9100; experience is a plus.
- Certifications : CSTE, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
- SPC Methodology : Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology.
- Blueprints and Specifications : Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Process Design and Management : Ability to conceptualize, design, implement, manage, and sustain critical processes.
- MS Office Proficiency : MS Office, specifically MS Excel, Word, and MS Outlook.
