RN - Mental Health Unit

$10K Sign-on bonus
Full-time Days, 7am-7pm with weekend and holiday rotation
The MHU is a 21-bed adult inpatient unit accepting a wide range of diagnoses from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and behavioral disturbances.
All of our rooms are private and monitored 24 / 7 by camera. We follow a multidisciplinary team approach for each patient.
The care team includes : psychiatrist, ARNP, RN, social work / mental health counselors, discharge navigator, occupational therapy services, patient care techs and safety techs.
Responsibilities
- To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance.
- To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Hospital.
- To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing.
- Ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.
- Ability to assume responsibility for personal and professional growth. Able to meet the physical demands on file in the Human Resources Department.
