Jobdescription

• Overalloperation of the waste treatment systems working directly with theplating department as the primarycustomer
• Interpretingmeter and gauge readings and tests results to determine and makeoperational adjustments toprocesses
• Maintainingoperations logs and recording meter and gauge readings subsequentlymaking adjustments asindicated
• Checkingmachinery and equipment formalfunctions
• Conductingregular preventive maintenance repairs cleaning painting andoverhauls of machinery and equipment includingalarms
• Compilinginformation on daily operator readings chemical usages fieldresults operator observations chemical and equipment inventoryequipment history equipment repair and preventive maintenance toconsequently update input to computerized data bases and review foroptimization of operations and maintenancerecords
• Acceptingchemical deliveries to ensure all offloading is performed to allsafety standards and otherregulations
• Adheringto waste controlrequirements
• Maintaininga clean and orderly treatmentplant
• Operatinghand tools power tools and machinery in the fabrication maintenancerepair and alteration of a wide variety of specialized wastewaterplant collection conveying and treatmentequipment
• Conductingsite inspections ofoperations
• Operatingmonitoring and maintaining chemicalfeedequipment
• Makingroutine laboratory tests at various stages of treatment inaccordance with standardized procedures and adds treatmentmaterials asrequired
• Maintainingspare parts chemical and toolinventories
• Performingall related duties to the operation and maintenance of the facilityincluding but not limited to : painting cleaning calibratingpreventative maintenance record keeping ordering and purchasingsupplies
• Assistingin project planning maintenance and equipmentupgrades

Requirements

Requirements :

• HighSchool Diploma or GEDrequired
• Oneyearcertificate from college or technical school; 1 year experienceand / or training in the related field; or equivalent combination ofeducation andexperience
• Abilityto :
• Readand interpret documents such as safety rules operating andmaintenance instructions and proceduremanuals
• Writeroutine reports andcorrespondence
• Speakeffectively before groups of customers or employees oforganization
• Proventrack record of original thinking and creativity with a proclivityto generate ideas and innovativeapproaches
• Strongmathematical skills including an ability to calculate percentagesvolume proportionsetc.
• Problemsolvingand reasoningabilities

• Familiarityand comfort with technology and a working knowledge of the Internetinventory and manufacturing software programsExcel
