Our client, a well-established 40+ year CPA Firm, is adding a Tax Manager to their team.
In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for :
- Preparing Tax Returns for high net worth individuals, S corporations, partnerships, and corporate income tax returns with a focus on the real estate industry
- Reviewing tax returns and projects of Tax Staff
- Identifying estate and income tax planning opportunities
- Performing tax research
- Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
- Managing and maintaining relationships with clients
Requirements include :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA License
- 5+ years of recent general income tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Experience with real estate partnership taxation , 1031 exchanges , real estate professional rules , and depreciation methods for real estate
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance
- Experience supervising and / or mentoring staff
- Ability to independently manage multiple engagements and prioritize workload for competing projects
- Outstanding leadership, collaboration, communication, organizational, and analytical skills
