Key Responsibilities : Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and proceduresReview and clarify physician-assigned diagnosis codes and query for clarification when necessaryIdentify and communicate denial trends to leadershipRequired Qualifications, Training, and Education : Active CCS, CCS-P, CPC (CPC-A not accepted), RHIT, or RHIA certificationHospitalist coding experienceStrong understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelinesFamiliarity with payor guidelines including LCD / NCDHS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
