Lease Administration Accountant

Responsibilities :
- Review lease agreements and abstract
- Process or enter new leases or amendment into Lease Management System (Visual Lease experience preferred)
- Establish operating expense recovery schedules and monthly recurring charges in accounting software
- Transfer security deposit from old to new lease account
- Reconcile building square feet monthly
- Review and process write-off requests
- Process late fee calculations
- Enter Pre-bill estimated recovery charges Annually
- Prepare and review year end expense recovery reconciliations
- Perform analytic review of budget to actual; year over year; and other comparisons
- Assist lease administration with gathering documents for tenant and operational audits
- Assist accounting with general accounting functions, such as data entry when needed
- Research and respond to field calls from lease administration and client
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Analyze leases for clients pursuant to ASC 842
Requirements :
- Bachelor degree in accounting, preferred
- Must have experience in ASC 842 analysis and compliance
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good Interpersonal, detail oriented, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient PC skills required (Excel / Word / PDF)
- Good judgement, initiative and accuracy
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- 4+ years related work experience
- Property Management experience, a plus
