Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Global Supply Chain Manager in creating, implementing, and maintaining procedures and processes for sourcing, procure-to-pay, contracting, and supplier management to support Operations, QHSE, Legal, and Financial requirements and to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with relevant regional stakeholders to define and implement category strategies for raw materials, machine shops, logistic, travel, maintenance and repairs, personnel services, etc.
- Monitor assigned category markets for industry developments, supply-base knowledge, and price trends.
- Lead supplier qualification process to include proper document submission and approval workflow for domestic and international suppliers.
- Implement and maintain Approved Supplier database and supplier management tools to evaluate, monitor and track performance and capabilities.
- Obtain and analyze supplier quotations / proposals, negotiating commercial contract terms with consideration for total cost and stakeholder requirements.
- Liaise with critical suppliers to ensure communication of WIS's supplier expectations, policy / procedure additions / modification and provide ongoing feedback to improve supplier relations.
- Manage critical / high risk supplier contracts and performance through periodic business reviews that include relevant stakeholders.
- Track and analyze procure-to-pay, sourcing and supplier metrics to identify improvement opportunities in cost, quality and product / service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or post-secondary education degree in business, with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, Distribution or Inventory / Materials Management.
- Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain or related experience required.
- Familiarity with Supply Chain Management (SCM) software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and / or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software.
- Ability to up to 25% internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Oil and Energy Sector
- Experience working with an international and culturally diverse set of colleagues and suppliers
- CPP or CSCP certifications
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of materials management, purchasing methods, expediting procedures, and supply chain integration.
- Adjusts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change while under pressure, including working long hours due to spikes in demand.
- Familiarity with procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data, and create reports
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve set targets
- High level of integrity and adherence to purchasing ethics.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
