Up to $20,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN
SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse will be able to effectively manage the care of pediatric patients in an intensive care unit. The registered nurse will coordinate total nursing care, monitor, and administer medications related to the disease process of the pediatric patient in intensive care.
The registered nurse will work cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the pediatric intensive care clinical setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licenses / Certifications
- Current state registration or eligibility to do so.
- CPR / BLS
- RN’s with more than 1 year of experience should obtain certification within 6 months of employment. New RN / GN, PALS within 12 months of hire.
- TNCC or ATCN All RNs should obtain certification within 18 months of employment.
- PALS for experienced pediatric critical care RN’s. ACLS preferred.
- PCAR Required Newly hired RN’s with less than 1 year of experience as a RN will be afforded 18 months from date of hire to obtain certification.
Newly hired RN’s with more than 1 year of experience as a RN must obtain certification within 12 months of hire. Nurses hired prior to 11 / 14 / 2022, with less than 1 year of experience as a RN must obtain certification within 18 months from date of hire.
Nurses hired prior to 11 / 14 / 2022, with more than 1 year of experience as a RN must complete certification within 6 months from 11 / 14 / 2022
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills.

The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and / or disaster.
Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
Education :
Required : Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
Preferred : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
Experience :
Preferred : Recent acute care experience.
Certifications :
Required : Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy;
CPR. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and / or PALS and / or NRP.
