Human Resources Generalist
Department : Operations
Reports to : Director of Human Resources
Employment Full-Time, Salary Exempt
Salary Range : $45,000.00 55,000.00 Annually
Job Description Summary :
This position’s key responsibilities are to work in coordination with the Director of Human Resources to lead, organize, direct, develop, administer, manage, and implement comprehensive human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions :
Payroll Administration
- Responsible for payroll administration and administration of the timekeeping system.
- Coordinate payroll changes and prepares documentation.
- Work with company HMIS system administrator to process payroll transactions including expense reports, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Process the bi-weekly payroll process including performing any necessary audits.
- Assists employees with payroll and timekeeping issues.
- Create and maintain timecard schedules for Executive and Director level.
- Process 401k contributions.
- Manage quarterly, annual and year end payroll reporting.
Human Resources
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the Human Resource Information System files and records.
- Work with HRIS for implementation, and training of available HR tools and services to streamline HR administration functions.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Maintain and develop policies for the Employee Handbook.
- Assists with record audits and mandatory reporting such as I-9 audits, EEO1 filings, payroll audits and other compliance reviews.
- Maintain company SharePoint HR page.
- Assist the HR Director will all functions of the department.
Talent Acquisition
- Assists with all aspects in talent acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Manage job descriptions.
- Builds and maintains candidate relationships.
- Sustains talent pipeline.
- Actively work towards building a diverse workforce meeting organizational DEI goal.
- Prepare job postings in ADP.
- Network & recruit through various platforms to attract potential candidates.
- Conducts New Hire Orientation.
Training & Development
- Work with HRIS for implementation, and training of available HR tools and services to streamline HR administration functions.
- Develop training to meet organizational staff needs.
- Present trainings using various platforms and methodologies.
- Coordinate training sessions.
- Prepare surveys for feedback on training delivered, suggestions for course development opportunities.
- Prepares instructional training materials and job aids.

Qualifications and Skills :
- Great communication skills and welcoming personality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstration of organized and efficient work habits with a follow up and follow through mentality.
- At least two (2) years of human resource and payroll management experience.
- Experienced in all platforms of HRIS system, ADP Workforce Now.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
- High level of discretion of confidential work and information; ability to appropriately handle critical information and sensitive situations.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task with multiple high priority projects.
- Willingness and desire to learn.
- Take initiative and be able to problem solve and troubleshoot, creatively and self-sufficiently.
- Professional certification desired.
Travel :
There is no travel required for this position.
Work Environment and Physical Demands :
This position is hybrid, but does require at least three (3) days in person at the Troy office.
While performing the functions of this job, the position is both sedentary in front of a computer for extended periods and at times requires the ability to be active including standing, bending, and lifting.
