The candidates? research focus should be in audit, accounting systems / analytics, or taxation. In the short term, teaching responsibilities for one position will focus on taxation, and the other position will focus on some combination of audit, systems, and analytics.
Both positions will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Who We Are
The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is one of three campuses of the University of Michigan. UM-Dearborn is a comprehensive university offering high quality undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education to residents of southeastern Michigan, and currently enrolls more than 8, students.
The College of Business is AACSB accredited and offers a BBA degree with nine concentrations, an MBA degree that can be completed both in-class and online, as well as MS degrees in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Information Systems.
The College has recently revised the curricula for most of these degree programs and is expecting significant growth in enrollment at the graduate level.
The campus is strategically located on suburban acres of the original Henry Ford Estate in the Greater Detroit Metropolitan region.
The campus is a 20 minute drive from downtown Detroit and DTW airport, a major hub connected to destinations around the world.
This allows for a short commute from Ann Arbor, Detroit, the Detroit suburbs, and several smaller towns with a more rural environment.

Qualifications required include a Ph.D. in Accounting or similar doctoral degree. Candidate should demonstrate a high potential and ability for research and teaching effectiveness.

The College also has a biweekly research seminar hosting leading researchers from other universities.
