About this Position :
Coordinates model cost, budget and project reporting within the PS&P Procurement Planning Unit to realize overall cost strategy within PSP Purchasing Division.
Creates concise, accurate cost and maker layout summaries and reports them to Procurement Planning management in support of PSP purchasing and development activity.
Responsibilities include :
- Supports creation of overall purchasing strategy consisting of part sourcing, supplier management and new model development by generating reports, analysing data and assisting in the preparation of presentation materials for reporting and / or evaluations.
- Assist in rolling up long-term budget for future developments and new model cost targets including coordination of the mass production unit cost budgeting.
- Participates in coordination of I / H vs O / S manufacturing themes for both current and new model production to establish most effective business characteristic.
- Manages the access of PSP associates and suppliers to related purchasing systems and coordinate any necessary training.
Minimum Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business (Accounting or Purchasing preferred) or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience :
Requires 2-6 years of experience with degree or 6 10 years related work experience.
Other job-specific skills :
- Working knowledge of Honda Purchasing systems.
- Proficiency with programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, relational database management (QMF / SQL).
- Interacts and communicates effectively with supervisor and other department members
- Good planning, implementation and project management skills.
- Effective presentation skills
Additional Position Factors :
- Travel : Average of 6 times per year, depending on project demand. Could include some international travel.
- Physical : primarily deskwork, frequent keyboarding.
- Hazards : maybe exposed to hazardous chemicals & equipment, including on / off road riding / driving.
- Overtime : expected based on project demands / responsibilities
