Education and Outreach Assistants provide logistical support for the development and delivery of education and outreach programs.
They either directly assist a more senior Education and Outreach professional, or support the operations of an Education and Outreach program area.
The audience for these programs typically consists of nontraditional or external learners, including schoolchildren, visitors, executives, continuing education students, or participants in community medical programs.
Duties are largely routine and tasks are performed with clear guidance. Education and Outreach Assistants function under the general supervision of a program leader, area director, or another professional who maintains ultimate responsibility for the success of the educational or outreach initiatives.
- Assist with the design, coordination, and evaluation of educational programs.
- Provide logistical support for established outreach programs, retreats, and events.
- Help to provide program-related reports to leadership.
- Support the design of marketing materials and promotions for programs.
- Help coordinate schedules of departmental staff and program volunteers.
- Assist with the management of participant attendance records.
- Aid in tracking program evaluation.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
This position will remain open until filled. This is a Non-Exempt level, benefited position. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
Salary range $19 / hr - $23 / hr dependent on education and experience The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
