Addiction Counselor
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$34.23 - $51.35 an hour - Per Diem, Days. Various hours a week.
Includes Per Diem Differential. +$2.50 for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking an Addiction Counselor who develops and implements a culturally responsive, evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program, who performs assessment, therapy, and treatment planning.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or similar is preferred.
- Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or Certified Addiction Specialist required.
- BLS from the American Heart Association required within 90-day conditional period.
- Five years on ASAM 3.7 withdrawal management unit preferred.
- Three years of emergency, acute or outpatient behavioral or substance use disorder care as LCSW or LPC required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based SUD therapy program.
- Mentor and educate staff in SUD assessment, treatment, and recovery.
- Ongoing monitoring to assure program meets statutory, regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements.
- Data-driven incremental improvement.
- Assess patient’s condition and identify problems, goals, and intervention.
- Collaborate with patient, family or loved ones, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update treatment plan.
- Act as patient advocate.
- Ensure care is trauma-informed and appropriate to patient’s emotional, social, and mental development.
- Facilitate group therapy and individual therapy sessions.
- Educate and validate patient, family and / or loved ones’ understanding.
