Responsibilities
The purpose of the job is to provide technical support for the FSS systems throughout all Indianapolis plant sites. Responsibilities include supporting daily operations, ensuring all systems comply with established regulatory standards, participating in system expansions, and ongoing maintenance of numerous automated Fire and Security systems.
Key Objectives / Deliverables :
Security and Fire Protection Systems Support
- Responsibilities include maintenance and repair support for FSS systems throughout Indianapolis. This includes preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, installation of new devices and electrical components, troubleshooting, and maintenance support.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance to provide quality support for fire alarm systems to be compliant with regulatory guidelines.
- Perform site survey and code research to assist in developing requirements and justification for improvement projects and completing Capital Investment Requests.
- Assist with review and maintenance of fire alarm system drawings.
- Monitor FSS Fire Alarm systems and initiate corrective actions to the systems, as necessary.
Basic Qualifications

- High School Education required; Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in electrical and mechanical.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills : position requires use of several common computer business applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, process flow diagrams, etc.
- Well-organized, self-starter, ability to problem solve and work independent of direct supervision.
Additional Skills / Preferences

- Knowledge of NFPA codes related to Fire Protection and Alarm systems
- GMARS / Maximo experience
- Fire Suppression and Alarm system experience
- NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II or higher.
