The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H / Queens has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Psychiatry.
The Associate Director of Psychiatry is responsible for the administration, planning, organizing and overall general management of all outpatient services -Adult Mental Health Clinic, Child Mental Health Clinic, School based programs, Partial Hospital Programs, ACT programs, Substance use programs, Collaborative programs, and trainees.
New York City H + H / Queens serves a multi-cultural population of adults, children and families. We offer a full array of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services : adult inpatient units, a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), a Mobile Crisis Unit, Adult Partial Hospitalization Program, Ambulatory Adult and Child Services, Assertive Community treatment programs, Collaborative care programs and a Substance use Program.
Candidates must have an MD degree and be Board Certified with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior management / leadership positions and experience with academic medical centers and / or public health systems is preferred.
We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
