Compensation
Hourly, $18 - $20 per hour Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
Year-round, full time position.

As a Catholic school, Gospel values such as prayer and a belief in a loving God are essential to how our school operates.

Preference is given to candidates with Early Childhood education or Teacher Certification but this is not required.
Alignment of professional duties and responsibilities to the belief that every student can learn the skills and dispositions necessary to have an opportunity to attend college.
Experience working or participating in Early Childhood Education, Catholic education given preference.

Bilingual - Spanish or Vietnamese are the languages that would be most responsive to our community.
The Early Learning Instructional Assistant job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
All responsibilities are to be in line with the Catholic mission of the Parish, the school, and state licensing.
Collaborate with the school staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating the school’s goals and objectives, with a specific focus on faith formation and ensuring learning for all students.
Create professional day-to-day operations for the Early Learning Center.
Ensure government regulations are met
Serve as an in-ratio teacher / aide for the Early Learning Center
Fulfill responsibilities associated with Additional Responsibilities assigned by the Principal at the beginning of each school year.
Participate in regional and Archdiocesan Catholic school initiatives.
Implementation of Project Lead the Way curriculum, Stanford STEM curriculum, and other STEM initiatives. Training and professional development will be ongoing and done in collaboration with the whole faculty and staff.
Establish and maintain a learning environment in which students thrive, guided by Gospel values, high academic expectations for all students, and a belief that all students can and will learn.
Implement responsive instructional strategies, including ongoing formative assessment, culturally responsive pedagogy, and adjusting lesson plans and instruction in order to meet the needs of the students.
Participate in the school’s PLC and attend professional development days.
Align classroom curriculum and instruction to school-wide systems, initiatives, and goals.
Ensure confidentiality in accordance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Respond to requests for parent communication within 48 hours.
Implement research based instructional strategies in order to ensure learning for all students.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technology as it pertains to enhancing student learning and communication among the school staff and families.
Participate in professional development opportunities that bolster both individual goals and school-wide goals.
Maintain and update student records and attendance in childcare management software, including but not limited to : Brightwheel and Alma.
Participation in all aspects of liturgical celebrations during the school day.
Serve as a model of Catholic faith for the students and represent the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Maintain a routine process of monitoring student progress and communicate that progress to parents / guardians.
Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Family Handbook, Faculty Handbook, and Staff Handbook.
Serve this school in the position and in the specific duties assigned by the Principal. Established policies, rules and regulations expressed by the school and the Principal shall be part of the professional procedure together with the applicable rules and regulations of the Washington State Department of Education, the Archdiocese of Seattle, applicable Canon Law and the local School Commission.
Conditions of Hiring
Pass background check in MERIT and VIRTUS
Be CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain certification upon hire.
Complete Child Care Basics (to be completed within 90 days of hire) and maintain 10-hour annual in-service training.
Show proof of MMR immunization and TB test.
