The Director of Talent Density reports to the VP of Human Resources at the Touchmark Corporate office located just off of I-217.

This is a hybrid position and must be located in Portland Metro or willing to relocate to Portland. Expectations to report to the corporate office will be 6-8 days per month additional days if needed or requested.

As the Director of Talent Density, you will build, implement, oversee, measure, and report on strategic and tactical recruiting initiatives throughout the organization with a vision towards sourcing and retaining exemplary talent with the potential to develop into the next generation of company leadership.

This involves teaching hiring managers to be highly skilled in all areas of recruiting including sourcing through networking, screening, interviewing, selection, and placement.

This position sources and maintains a diverse pool of talent for a variety of roles using a combination of networking, job postings, sourcing, headhunting, and leveraging hiring manager and internal leadership networks.

With an eye on continuous improvement, this position develops recruitment initiatives, interview training programs, recruiting tools, meaningful metrics, and effective community support programs.

The Director of Talent Density engages in the business to establish KPI’s that reflect recruiting performance deficiencies and build sustainable, lasting, and measurable solutions that help drive organizational success.

You will participate in and contribute to the HR leadership team initiatives and provide support and counsel to company leaders on attracting and retaining talent.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience designing, delivering, and improving recruiting and retention programs.
  • 4+ years supporting and leading managers to become excellent hiring decision-makers.
  • 3+ years’ experience in complex multi-site organizations, preferably international.
  • Experience developing metrics and measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of recruiting programs; experience making programmatic changes based on the data.
  • Expertise in healthcare recruiting.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, listening, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Effective leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet job requirements.

Essential Functions :

  • Drive and be a motivational champion of Touchmark’s culture as it relates to attracting, retaining, and growing talent.
  • Create and maintain a qualified pipeline of high-potential candidates for key positions with a focus on talent density and retention.
  • Drive and develop action plans with hiring managers to generate talent through their networks and ensure hiring managers remain committed, engaged, and accountable throughout the recruiting process.
  • Demonstrate exemplary professionalism in appearance, communication, and behavior as a public-facing Touchmark representative on all platforms including electronic communications, in person, all media outlets, and online.
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand the profile of successful, talented, and tenured team members and align networking and recruiting strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with L&D as a subject matter expert to develop and deliver ongoing training programs. Develop consistency, standardization, and improved outcomes in hiring practices through program development, training workshops, and ongoing hiring manager skills development.
  • Develop and present talent density recruiting strategies to executive leadership including project lists, and an explanation of how projects work together to create desired future state.

This includes timelines and ongoing updates highlighting status and results.

Develop and regularly report meaningful recruiting metrics with key indicators that help shape further recruiting strategies.

This includes but is not limited to time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, hiring source, placement retention, and weekly recruiting updates.

  • Leverage community leaders and HR professionals to drive strategic recruiting initiatives, identify obstacles, and design strategic solutions including engaging and empowering managers to become talented recruiters.
  • Lead, develop, supervise, and drive high performance in junior recruiter to ensure resources are focused on areas that maximize outcomes for the business.
  • Review, source, present, and implement Talent Acquisition software to optimize business outcomes, reduce time and effort for managers, streamline the recruiting process for end users, ensure a professional electronic experience for new hires, and integrate into existing HRIS systems.
  • Innovate to ensure Touchmark talent density recruiting strategies are best-in-class, evolving with the market, and attracting the highest talent in the industry to Touchmark.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and maintain an enticing careers website that leads candidates through an experience, increasing their excitement along the way, to join an elite organization with an unparalleled culture of passion, excellence, teamwork, and talent.
  • Partner with HR Directors and operational leaders to understand the employee experience, turnover, onboarding, and other components of the employee life cycle to enhance branding and selling the Touchmark story.
  • Understanding that volume hiring in a high turnover situation drains the market and damages Touchmark’s elite reputation as the premier employer in our industry, monitor turnover hot spots and partner with HR and operational leadership to identify the root cause and resolve the issue, rather than continue to pump people through the problem.
  • Design, launch, and manage effective employee referral programs to enhance talent density.
