Senior Electrical Designer
Location : Omaha, NE
Description :
- Purpose of Position Provide comprehensive electrical design support for projects related to pipeline facilities (measurement and regulation stations, compressor stations, Client plants, pipelines, etc.).
- Prepares detailed functional and physical design drawings of electrical equipment and related facilities in accordance with accepted design practices and standards.
- This includes technical area plans, wiring schematics and layout diagrams for power and controls projects.
- Perform calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity.
- Ensure design drawings meet Company specifications, regulatory and safety requirements.
- Assist Engineers with resolving any electrical design issues and developing effective solutions.
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree in engineering or a related field, a technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Three to four years of related experience in gas pipeline engineering, operations or construction is preferred.
- Seeking candidates with electrical utility design experience.
- Candidates must have proficiency in AutoCAD as well as recent experience in designing and drafting electrical systems in a utility environment.
- Position entails designing and running electrical circuits.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Excel is required.
- Experience with Adobe / BlueBeam is a plus.
- Knowledge in engineering and operations related, codes, standards and procedures, (DOT, FERC, OSHA, NNG, etc.).
