Your role at Clorox :

The Sr. Technical Services Engineer will provide support to the Clorox Professional (CPro) Business Unit, a dynamic and growing sector, leveraging a business-to-business model to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of products and services essential in healthcare, educational, office, and other public settings.

Drawing upon technical knowledge and experience, this individual will lead complex changes and improvements to the North American supply chain, for both Packaging and Process projects.

This includes, but is not limited to, supply assurance, cost savings, quality issue resolution, and strategic sourcing activities, as well as related operational improvements at Clorox plants and contract manufacturers.

This individual will be creative and independently driven to exceed expectations, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to a wide variety of projects and organizational initiatives.

This person will deliver new ideas for cost savings and other types of projects, engage influentially with business and technical leaders, understand and communicate project risks, and identify potential business opportunities outside of assigned areas.

In this role, you will :

  • Represent Production Services to CPro business and technical leaders, influence decision-making, enable work processes, and ensure adequate service levels to the division.
  • Drive implementation, prioritization and execution of cost optimization, supply assurance and other supply chain goals.
  • Lead or support assigned and self-identified projects, employing principles and tools to identify potential losses early in the life of a project and to deliver a vertical, sustainable startup.
  • Utilize creative technical problem-solving skills and design-of-experiment approach to deliver technical solutions when assigned to support or lead cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage technology and resources with Supply Chain / R&D to improve processes, response times and results.
  • Communicate effectively within multi-functional teams and build strong partnerships with Global technical services, R&D Process, R&D Packaging, and Product Development, Division Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain Services, business leaders and plant personnel.
  • Utilize knowledge of material handling, manufacturing operations, test methods as well as other general science and engineering principles and methods to deliver goals.
  • Develop best practices to drive continuous improvement and learning in Global Technical Services and Clorox technical communities, and train others on new tools and practices.

What we look for :

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years engineering, science or operations work experience
  • Experience operating in and effectively leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated technical depth in packaging components, raw materials, processing and formula knowledge (preferred but not required), excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, with ability to explain desired results, risks and next steps to any audience
  • Ability to identify, champion and institutionalize new tools, processes, and technologies
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a convincing, influential manner and to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills, persuasive as well as documentary
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must be able / willing to travel, primarily in North America, 30-40%, and occasionally overseas

Workplace type :

Hybrid : This individual will be required to work in a Clorox office 3 days a week. The other 2 days can be remote.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location.

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A : $104,100 - $199,100 Zone B : $95,500 - $183,300 Zone C : $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
