Responsibilities :
- Ensure a safe and environmentally compliantwork area adhering to safety and blood leadpolicies.
- Verify that all products meet orexceed quality requirements.
- Operate calibrateand maintain Optical EmissionsSpectrometers.
- Accurately measure and documentmachined extruded rolled and castparts.
- Maintain an inspection log and generatenonconforming reports.
- Monitor and maintain thecalibration system for measuring tools.
- Developand maintain a 6S program in the QC Lab auditingdaily.
- Investigate defective products andconduct Rockwell Hardness Testing asrequired.
- Generate Certificates of Analysesand / or Conformance.
- Prepare products forshipment and assist with Quality SystemAudits.
- Perform visual and dimensionalinspections on incoming parts.
- Maintaincontrolled document files and test records.
Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience in the lead or metalindustries.
- 2 years of experienceprogramming / operating a portable measuring arm preferably withPolyWorks (other CMM experienceconsidered).
- Forklift training andcertification preferred.
- Crane operationcertification preferred.
- Strong math andmeasurement skills.
- Proficient in MicrosoftOffice applications.
- Independent andselfmotivated with strong problemsolvingskills.
- Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.
- Ability to read andinterpret government and industryspecifications.
- Ability to read interpret andmeasure machined parts from drawings and 3DCAD.
- Focused on ContinuousImprovement.
PhysicalRequirements :
- Abilityto climb stairs multiple times during ashift.
- Ability to work 2ndshift.
- Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hoursper day.
- Ability to wear PPE including arespirator hard hat safety glasses and uniform for up to 8 hoursper day.
