Lead Project Engineer
Akron, OH (relocation available)
Summary :
A Fortune 500 Chemical & Coatings Company is looking to bring on a new Lead Project Engineer. This is a full time position that is on site in Akron, OH.
Responsibilities :
- Apply industry-standard design, construction, and maintenance codes such as API for oil and gas, ASME for pressure vessels, NFPA for fire protection, and ASCE for structural engineering.
- Ensure adherence to stringent state and local building codes, insurance requirements, and rigorous environmental regulations to guarantee project compliance.
- Utilize advanced technology to develop project designs, drawing on extensive industrial and processing experience to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support site mechanical integrity programs by executing coded repairs and replacements of critical vessels, enhancing operational reliability and safety.
- Maintain strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures, policies, and codes to uphold a safe working environment and mitigate operational risks.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing experience in industrial manufacturing or chemical process environments.
- Proven experience leading capital projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting project objectives.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SAP; familiarity with Sigma Logic is advantageous.
