Position Overview :

As a Production Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure adherence to departmental SEQCD (Safety, Environment, Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.

You will manage documentation, resolve issues, enforce standards, and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitoring and Documentation :
• Continuously monitor and document 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) conditions and trends to meet departmental SEQCD targets daily.
• Maintain OSHA and ISO records as required.
• Review production reports for accuracy.
• Generate safety, productivity, and quality reports, and develop improvement plans for review and feedback from upper management.
• Issue Resolution :
• Address HR, production, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), and product quality issues.
• Participate directly in problem investigations (root cause analysis) and resolution (corrective action) by facilitating collaboration across functional groups to eliminate recurring issues.
• Recommend, implement, and enforce methods and procedures to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
• SOP Management :
• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are established, current, and effectively communicated.
• Train operators on SOPs for each position to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding and the necessary skills to perform their duties and achieve SEQCD targets.
• Enforce adherence to policies, standards, and work rules.
• Production Goals and 5S :
• Recommend and implement production goals, targets, and adjustments for processes, work assignments, and equipment to meet SEQCD targets.
• Plan, execute, and review 5S and autonomous preventive maintenance activities.
• Conduct frequent SDCA (Standardize, Do, Check, Act) / PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycles to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
• New Product and Process Implementation :
• Manage the testing and implementation of new products, processes, and equipment.
• Monitor processes and ensure accurate data collection.
• Kaizen and Employee Participation :
• Coordinate and validate Kaizen activities within the department.
• Ensure employee participation in company-sponsored programs and required training.
• Guide subordinates in the identification, recommendation, and implementation of corporate systems and programs such as Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and 5S within the work unit.

Qualifications :

• Language Proficiency : Excellent conversational, reading, and writing skills in both Japanese and English are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of SEQCD targets and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience in managing SOPs, training, and enforcing policies.
• Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
