This position will support a critical air defense program by overseeing, coordinating and managing multiple capital projects needed to ramp-up manufacturing capability at our existing Leidos Manufacturing facilities in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring requirements and milestones are being met. Duties may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual / project requirements.
The Project Manager will establish and define program plan requirements, delivery timelines, key performance indicators, including monitoring and reporting performance, to ensure that cost, technical, and schedule objectives are met.
This position will report to the Manufacturing Operations Director and will work with the Manufacturing Plant Managers, Corporate Facilities, functional support and program teams to ensure projects are executed in a manner that meets objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop resource loaded project schedules and managing the tasks, dependencies, budgets, and risks in order to deliver updated site capabilities on time to support production ramp-up.
Oversee and coordinate planning activities while monitoring and managing risks.
Work with functional support teams, including operations team subject matter experts, OEMs, Finance, contracts, and security to ensure projects are executed efficiently
Set project goals, come up with plans to meet those goals and report status throughout the project lifecycle.
Brief and present project plans to Manufacturing and Program senior leadership
Organize meetings amongst a variety of contributors and stakeholders to review project goals and progress.
Develop resource loaded project schedules and manage the tasks, dependencies, and risks in order to deliver migration project on time and within budget.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated success in working with leadership to understand and define resource needs of a complex project.
Prior experience planning, managing, and executing complex, multi-faceted projects, including those involving facility modifications and acquisition of capital equipment.
Experience working with functional support teammates (Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts) on major equipment acquisitions and / or facility modifications.
Demonstrated success in multi-tasking, self-assigning work, and functioning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
Prior experience managing complex projects to include scope baselining, budgeting, scheduling, and performance monitoring / reporting.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience planning, managing, and executing projects involving facility modifications and acquisition of capital equipment.
Project Management or Program Management certification.
Familiarity with acquisition of complex manufacturing equipment.
Strong personnel, planning, and project management skills.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint accounting software is a plus.
Familiarity with Solumina MES software is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile or Windchill PLM software is a plus.

Pay Range :
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00
