Summary of Objective :

The Quality Receiving Inspector I supports PCI receiving and shipping operations. This position will focus on the QC inspection of incoming materials inspection activities and QC verification of shipping activities.

In addition, the person may assist with document control activities and product lot disposition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

Selects products for tests at incoming receiving. Tests and inspects products at incoming receiving. May execute shipping protocols, special sampling protocols or shipping / receiving validations.

Performs receiving inspections as required. May perform additional inspections and sampling on released material(s). Interprets specifications and formulas to arrive at required quality and reliability standards.

Records test data, using statistical quality control procedures. Enters inventory transactions in ERP system. May perform destruction activities related to incoming samples / retains.

This position may require overtime and / or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

Attendance to work is an essential function of this position Performs other duties as assigned by Manager / Supervisor. Performs QC verifications for shipping activities Performs QC verifications for Destruction activities.

  • Work near moving mechanical parts for 3 / 4 of the day and up.

The noise level in the work environment is typically, moderate.

Qualifications : The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required for the stated position.

Required :

  • High School Diploma or GED and / or 1-3 years related experience and / or training.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills : Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
  • Limited Working Proficiency : The ability to satisfy routine social demands and limited work requirements. The ability to read simple prose, in a form equivalent to typescript or printing, on subjects within a familiar context.
  • Basic Reasoning : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems that involve only a few concrete variables in standardize situations.

Preferred :

  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to display excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and / or as part of a team.
  • Ability to exhibit sound and accurage judgment.
  • Experience in a CGMP environment
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with clinical packaging, labeling and distribution
