Job Duties
- Drive robotic engineering design, development, and testing of autonomous vehicle systems and technologies.
- Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects.
- Guide the development and implementation of SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) algorithms tailored for autonomous vehicles.
- Oversee the integration of machine learning models into the robotic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Direct, review, and approve project design changes.
- Monitor the latest advancements in SLAM, machine learning, and robotics, and incorporate them into the company's technology stack.
- Ensure the robustness, safety, and efficiency of the developed systems.
- Lead the testing and validation of the autonomous systems in real-world scenarios.
- Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand.
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners to drive advancements in the field of autonomous vehicles.
- Lead the testing and validation of robotic systems, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to develop testing protocols and computing methodologies.
- Develop and manage the engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for projects and initiatives.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work.
- Establish scientific or technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
Must have Master’s degree or equivalent in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the offered role or related.
Must have 5 years of experience with : linear algebra; sensor calibration techniques for robotics and autonomous systems;
and Linux based systems.
Must have 3 years of experience with : machine learning methods; Python; and robot operating systems.
Must have some experience with : optimization techniques; gradient descent; lidar and stereo camera based point clouds; Kalman filters;
particle filters; articulated robots and manipulators; C++; AWS and Google cloud; and statistical methods for precision and recall.
