The Farmers Insurance - Kim Duty agency in Newport is currently seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated individual, with effective time management, and a positive attitude to join our team.
As a Customer Service & Sales Representative, you will provide exceptional customer service to our current clients and new prospects, as well as work to support agency growth through sales / new business generation.
Candidates must have customer service and sales experience in professional office or in a retail setting. Need to have the ability to work in a team environment, and a professional telephone presence.
Must be able to pass state insurance license exam in time (We will help you with this) and meet continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming calls from clients and potential customers.
- Process client policy change requests.
- Take and process premium payments from clients.
- Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements.
- Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
- Call prospective customers by operating VOIP telephones, automatic dialing systems, and other internet technologies.
- Maintain client relationships with follow up phone calls.
- Schedule appointments for Agent to meet prospective customers.
Requirement
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service and / or sales experience in a professional office setting or retail environment is required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- Familiar with multiple computer platforms (Windows, Google, etc.) is required
- Previous insurance or banking industry experience highly preferred.
- Bilingual : English and Spanish is highly preferred
