We are seeking a Sales Representative that would be responsible for selling and supporting recycling and forestry products within their designated territory.
This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and demonstrating equipment in the field.
Key Responsibilities :
- Call on customers in the assigned territory to sell new and used equipment, rentals, and parts and service solutions.
- Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities.
- Follow up and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the equipment lineup and competitive products.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations in the field and / or operate machinery at customer job sites.
- Coordinate delivery and pickup of equipment from customers.
- Process quotes, sales, rentals, and lease-purchase agreements.
- Support customer and company needs during financing and / or credit application processes.
- Assist with account receivables collections.
- Utilize manufacturer’s programs and resources effectively to generate new business.
- Represent the company at factory, industry, and company events, including meetings and training sessions.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management professionally and efficiently.
Desired Skills and Experience :
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational training / certification.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience in the heavy equipment construction industry or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Neat and clean personal appearance.
- Equipment knowledge or previous industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to frequently bend, squat, or climb on equipment, lift at least 50 lbs., and stand or walk for extended periods on slippery or uneven job sites.
Occasionally work in extremely hot or cold weather conditions.
- Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment drug testing.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of the Company Driver Policy. The company will review motor vehicle records annually for employees whose job functions require driving.
