Insight Global is seeking a Project Controls Manager to work onsite in Reno, NV for one of the largest multinational automotive and energy companies in the world.

This individual will be overseeing the whole project controls team - leadership / character is a key part here. The Project Control Team’s primary objective is to support the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) group in the design, planning, and execution of company infrastructure by providing management with critical, decision-making information that ensures projects deliver on time and on budget.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Participating in interactive planning sessions.
  • Overall daily execution and operations of the Project Controls Team
  • Day to day operations
  • Navigating with other strong leaders.
  • Be a part of difficult discussions, meeting with senior leaders
  • Analyzing schedule changes for impact on project.
  • Reporting on impacts, critical areas and possible courses of action to maintain baseline schedule.
  • Analyzing and reporting on schedule risks.
  • Integrating risk management outputs in schedule review and mitigation planning.
  • Resource load scheduling.
  • Identifying trends or scope changes and advise the PE's and project controls.
  • Cost reporting, earned value, change management and estimating.
  • Cash flow development and reporting.

Forecasting risk assessment requirements.

  • Providing budget development support.
  • Performing ad-hoc project analysis and support.
  • Liaising between client management team and engineering.
  • Maintaining Primavera templates and scheduling standards.
  • Creating preliminary schedule from historical data, document links and assumptions, using Primavera software.
  • Adjusting and reviewing schedules with project personnel and publishing baseline schedules.
  • Planning, scheduling and managing responsibilities, objectives and project milestones for the team.
  • Managing the performance of the team, including mentoring and coaching direct reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Project Management, Construction Management, or relevant mega project experience
  • Project Controls Lead previous experience within an EPC Company manufacturing / industrial background
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in cost management, scheduling, planning, reporting, risk, budgeting, document control, and financial analysis, with a significant portion of that experience in the complex industrial process industry overall strong Project Controls background
  • Strong knowledge cost management processes and cost structures at EPC project.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and cost analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong leadership background within a Project Controls Group
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
