Our organization is seeking a talented and adaptable Project / Event Worker to join our Operations team!
About the Role
As a Project / Event Worker, you'll be the go-to person for maintaining our campus facilities and ensuring successful events.
You'll work across three essential departments - Grounds, Custodial, and Maintenance - adapting to the needs of each area and contributing to the overall excellence of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform essential tasks in grounds maintenance, custodial services, and facility maintenance
- Set up and tear down campus events with precision and efficiency
- Operate various vehicles and equipment, from vans to industrial machinery
- Maintain equipment and supplies with care and attention to detail
- Report concerns and submit work orders to keep our campus in top shape
- Assist in training new staff on routine procedures
- Adapt to rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
What You'll Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent (combination of education and experience considered)
- A valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices
- Proficiency with technology, including computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive motions
- Adaptability to changing requirements and goals
