Looking to work half the year? Working 12-hour shifts might not be so bad. We partnered with a company in Fitchburg and looking to fill a Machine Operator for either shift (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am).

Essential Accountabilities
Machine operation
Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification.
Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumption.
Machine readiness inspect machinery, equipment, and tooling prior to set-up.
Identify issues, which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
Identify nonconforming materials / products and work with shift leader for resolution.
Follow Lock-Out Tagout Procedures.
Quality
Ensure part quality meets established standards.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Follow and maintain SQF (safe quality food) practices and perform established SPC quality (sysco process control) checks.
Communication
Complete all shift documentation / paperwork.
Shift hand-off go over job status and updates with incoming shift.
Safety
Participate in safety programs.
Follow all established safety procedures.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Computer and Software
Ability to operate a computer.
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year manufacturing experience.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements.
Ability to operate a forklift safely.
Desired Skills
Experience operating manufacturing equipment.
Organization and time management.
Knowledge of quality control principles and Statistical Process Control.
