General Summary :

The Director, Digital Platform Strategy will join the team as a subject matter expert for Unum's Pega and ServiceNow systems.

The Business Process Management Consultant’s responsible for providing technical configuration guidance to multiple Unum clients.

This role also partners with internal cross-functional teams and product owners to ensure successful Pega and ServiceNow system configuration.

Additionally, this role participates in continuous process improvement and introduces new platform solutions to the team for future consideration.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4+ years of experience in Pega, ServiceNow, and business analysis.
  • Experience performing configurations on large global platforms (i.e., enterprise-level or 2000-5000 employees).
  • Extensive configuration and user support experience in Pega and ServiceNow applications is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Pega and ServiceNow module integration and downstream, cross-functional impacts.
  • Demonstrated project management skills for medium-large sized projects and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Functional knowledge in key HR competencies including benefits, absence management, payroll, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills; ability to thrive in a team environment as a change agent and the ability to work independently is required.
  • Must be comfortable working with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a proven track record of successfully proposing, documenting, and implementing improvements to systems and processes in a global environment.
  • Computer skills : Pega, ServiceNow, strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively recommend and drive process improvements and innovative solutions to increase the value of Pega and ServiceNow implementations at Unum.
  • Define and configure customer system changes in support of business strategy and process in accordance with a customer’s Statement of Work.
  • Partner with functional areas, business partners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand business strategy and process and how technology delivery can change, support, or automate those processes.
  • Manage customer projects that require multiple resources, dependencies, and ensuring objectives are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Lead and drive technology initiatives that span multiple platforms.
  • Consult with product owners on the capabilities of Pega and ServiceNow. Research product roadmaps and how Unum can best leverage functionality to support business goals and objectives.
  • Configure Pega and ServiceNow information systems across multiple HR disciplines including, absence management, time entry, benefits, service delivery, etc.

Proactively identify process and / or configuration gaps. Recommend, influence, drive, and implement opportunities to improve the employee, manager, and HR experience.

Drive end-user adoption of existing and newly implemented technologies.

Influence product direction of key technologies such as Pega and ServiceNow, through active membership and contribution to vendor communities.

Develop and build relationships with other customers, product managers, and other influencers at Pega and ServiceNow. Represent Unum at events, conferences, and user groups for Pega and ServiceNow.

  • Manage technical vendor relationships related to implementation projects and / or ongoing support. Negotiate with, influence, and drive vendors to support Unum and project delivery.
  • Document business processes, job aids, training materials, and test plans.
  • Support ongoing upgrades / functionality releases for Pega and ServiceNow to ensure planning and managing the continuous delivery of system updates, including updates to supporting material SOPs, job aids, and other relevant documentation.
  • Establish and develop relationships with partners throughout the enterprise, including Information Technology, Sales and Client Management, Client Success, Legal, etc.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$109,100.00-$213,300.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.

5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
