Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager (RN) will :
- Manage supervise, and coordinate the delivery of nursing services.
- Ensure compliance with clinical / patient care standards and established policies and procedures.
- Observes and monitors client health; and documents treatments and / or medical concerns on the client charts.
- Participates in the development of nursing services strategic and operational planning.
- Participates in establishing communication between nursing staff and other health care professionals and administration.
- Plans and conducts meetings with nursing staff to ensure compliance with established practices and to keep nursing staff abreast of current policies and procedures and documents such meetings.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's and / or Master's Degree in Nursing
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- 1-2 years demonstrated experience as a nurse manager
- 1-2 years psychiatric nursing experience
- Experience developing procedures, hiring, staff development and coordinating activities of physicians and / or physician extenders
Desired Skills :
- Psych Nurse certification
- Background in Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations;
- Understanding of PRTF and residential treatment service delivery.
- Prefer experience with Virginia Department of Mental
- Previous experience in a Management role
