JAVA / J2EE Developer - Long Term Projects - Hybrid (2 days onsite - Orange County, CA)

Title : JAVA / J2EE Developer

Location : Hybrid (2 days onsite - Orange County, CA)

Duration : Long Term Project

Compensation : $50-60 / hr.

Project Summary : The objective of this project is to leverage expertise in making Prior Authorization (PA) enhancements on the legacy internal systems and AS400 systems.

Position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing software projects and tasks. Directly interfacing with user clients about their systems and ensuring their system is functioning correctly.

Essential Functions / Duties :

• Analyze all user requests to determine if change to system is necessary.
• Work with users on a day-to-day basis to answer any system questions or concerns they may have.
• Analyze, Design, Develop, and Implement projects / program changes to your system.
• Coordinate and work with other groups when integration projects / issues arise.
• Work with all outside vendors that interface with your system when necessary
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
• Escalate as needed to address business need when determined to be out of scope of position responsibility.
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.

Work Experience :

• 6+ Years' experience with Java / J2ee.
• Hands-on experience in Java-based SAP EP maintenance and support, with a willingness to learn and transform.
• Experience in Agile (SCRUM) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Proficient in Web Services including SOAP, WSDL, RESTful Web Services, Microservices, JAX-RS, JAX-WS.
• Expertise in developing, deploying, and managing N-tier server-centric enterprise J2EE applications using Eclipse IDE with technologies like Servlets, JSPs, JSTL, JSF, JNDI, EJB, and JMS.
• Proficient in developing Microservices using Spring Boot framework.
• Experience in deploying applications on JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Tomcat servers.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns like Singleton, DAO, Session Façade, Front Controller, and Delegate pattern.

Education : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Skills / Knowledge : Excellent communication skills both Oral and Written.

Certifications : Nice to have AWS certification.
