Salary : $16 to $17.50 Per hour
PSR Paraprofessional
Our agency is seeking an individual who has experience working with adults within a Psychosocial Rehabilitation program. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing individual Person Centered Plans involving skills that promote independence while instructing, modeling, assisting the consumer in daily living skills, socialization, leisure and / or recreational activities, educational and vocational skills.
Primary knowledge, skills, and abilities :
- Knowledge of basic PSR principles; ability to work with persons who may be different from oneself in areas of ability, age, economic status, and learning ability;
- empathy and understanding of consumer problems and ability to respond to those problems; ability to determine consumer needs;
ability to secure cooperation of the consumer
- Familiarity with HIPAA rules and regulations and abide by them.
- Ability to implement individual Person Centered Plan involving skills that promote independence while instructing, modeling, assisting the consumer in daily living skills, socialization, leisure and / or recreational activities, educational and vocational skills.
- Record service notes to document all services provided to the consumer on a daily basis.
- Assist in transporting the consumer to community services / activities when required, attending to the appropriate safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED and ability to read, write, understand and follow directions.
- Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with adults with mental illness preferred.
- Must have clear SBI and DMV records and maintain them during period of employment.
- Must have a valid NC Driver's License.
