Head of Bid Management

The Global Customer Operations Bid Management (GS D GCO BM AM) organization is responsible for all Distributed Gas Turbine bids performed out of Orlando for the Americas region.

In addition, the role is responsible for Global Bid Management for Aeroderivative gas turbines.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You are responsible for a team of approximately fourteen employees working with our global Sales organization and serving customers in all relevant market segments for our portfolio of power generation and oil and gas customers.

The sales opportunities are complex in nature, with high order volumes.

The scope of the Bid Management organization spans across technical presentations to our customers, preparing bids, commenting customer specifications, scope definition and development of cost calculations / negotiations as well as the engagement in technical & commercial clarifications and negotiations.

The goal is to deliver new projects to the business that have high technical quality and precise calculation.

As such you are responsible for :

• Leading a team of bid managers that support the global GS Sales teams across all relevant Product Lines.
• Ensuring close collaboration with the global GS Sales teams.
• Creating competitive bids for new unit projects spanning from component supply to complex Oil and gas requirements.
• Close interaction and relationship with customers across the globe.
• Ensuring early product positioning and technical project definition.
• Supporting the use and implementation of digital solutions for Bid Management processes.
• Working closely with all execution functions to ensure the required high quality of bids and subsequently a smooth handover of won projects to execution.

What You Bring

• Engineering or Business Administration degree (or related field). 10+ years of leadership experience, leading teams and international organizations across relevant markets.
• Track record in sales and / or project management / execution.
• Deep understanding of gas turbine technology and our products.
• Background in oil & gas requirements and market.
• Proficient understanding in a diverse and international cultural environment.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
