What you will do
As the Category Manager, Software you will lead contract negotiations and support for Corp IT Enterprise focused on GP, Finance, and HR categories.
You will also Co-Develop and implement a Software and Technology category strategy consistent with company processes and objectives.
How you will do it
Lead strategic sourcing activities, including but not limited to : spend analysis (benchmarking, supply market analysis, supplier analysis, RFI / RFP building, negotiations, baseline analysis, contracting, outsourcing & offshoring, product lifecycle management, building business cases)
Represent JCI’s single-voice when leading supplier negotiations, developing appropriate negotiation strategies, strengthening supplier relationships, and providing feedback on supplier performance
Lead deep dives on active strategic sourcing initiatives
Engage with suppliers and business partners to ensure supplier integration of user needs, providing feedback on supplier performance
Manage internal relationships with key business stakeholders for assigned categories and procurement business units
Continually identify leading practices from inside and outside the company for implementation and adoption
Participate in business planning process to support business and category goals, and core metrics
Directs and implements global policies, procedures and standards that support Global Procurement
What we look for
4+ years Sourcing expertise in global category of Software or other relevant corporate experience such as IT or Finance
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as IT, supply chain, finance or relevant business disciplines
2+ years IT industry experience with an understanding global applications and IT Infrastructure or Finance
High financial acumen with ability to construct and negotiate complex global agreements in Telecom and Infrastructure
Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and drive alignment on complex strategies with the business
Strong analytical skills with ability to manage multiple detailed projects Global working knowledge of procurement policy, processes and tools
Able to achieve goals, self-motivate, take initiative and generally operate with minimal supervision
Able to challenge status quo and create innovative sourcing ideas that drive cost reduction in Telecom and Infrastructure categories
