We are currently seeking several dedicated and experienced private tutor to provide personalized education and support to students in Dallas, Texas.
As a private tutor, you will work independently with students, offering in-person instruction and guidance in various subjects.
Responsibilities :
- Provide one-on-one in-person tutoring sessions to students based on their individual needs and academic goals.
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies.
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Help students improve their study skills, organization, and time management.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents and Learning Tree Tutors.
- Collaborate with parents and teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
- Stay updated on the latest educational techniques and resources.
Requirements :
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a tutoring or teaching role at any level k-12th grade.
- Excellent knowledge of the subjects / level you will be tutoring (e.g., math, ELA, science, social studies, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
- Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes or agreed-upon meeting locations within Dallas.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on students' schedules.
- Access to a computer and internet connection for occasional remote work (e.g., lesson planning, communication with parents, etc.).
