JOB PURPOSE

The school seeks an Auxiliary Programs Manager who possesses a deep passion for enrichment programming. The outstanding candidate has knowledge of child development and progressive pedagogy, as well as an appreciation for the importance of practicing mindfulness and actively teaching social and emotional skills, and a commitment to diversity and cultural competency.

The successful candidate is devoted to the School's mission and possesses the vision and imagination to enhance the non-traditional revenue streams of the Auxiliary Programs, which includes Enrichment Programs, Sports, School Break and Summer Camps.

This position has oversight of scheduling, programming, hiring, and facilities planning.

Work will be performed primarily in an office environment but will sometimes include an outdoor environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.

Frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping, or carrying of equipment and materials may be required. The position reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs and is classified as Exempt Salaried.

Role and Responsibilities :

Essential Duties :

  • Oversee operations of Enrichment and Camps Programs including hiring, scheduling, and overseeing staff, managing budget and materials, and coordinating with internal and external constituents involved in operations.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Enrichment and Daycare Program, from 3pm. to 6pm. daily during the school year.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of School Break and Summer Camps.
  • Hold and maintain all licensing requirements for CPR and First Aid and MAT .
  • Develop and oversee the registration and enrollment process for all auxiliary programs.
  • Coordinate policies and procedures for the successful management of auxiliary programs and other related policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular communications to families in auxiliary programs throughout their time enrolled using email, social media, and other tools to keep families informed and engaged.
  • In coordination with appropriate stakeholders, develop new auxiliary programs that align with the mission of the school.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to advertise Enrichment and School Break and Summer programs and schedules, including generation of marketing plans and materials.
  • Attend, as necessary, fairs and other events to promote Auxiliary Programs.
  • Consistently provide high levels of customer service in a positive and professional manner to internal and external members of the community.
  • Foster collegiality and positive morale among staff.
  • Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for auxiliary contract terms and questions.
  • Ensure that all auxiliary programs comply with city and state regulatory standards.
  • Design, develop, and implement new offerings with the goal of providing high quality programs.

Qualifications :

  • Possess joy, a growth mindset, and a sense of humor and commitment to working collaboratively.
  • Bachelors and a minimum of 3+ years planning student programs preferred.
  • CPR / FIRST AID / AED Certification is required.
  • Dynamic instructional leader with an understanding of the developmental and curricular needs of children.
  • Ability to use a range of technical tools : e-newsletter software, web-based registration and enrollment software and basic content management tools in addition to basic office software such as MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Must take initiative, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to meet an occasional flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that lead to the cultivation of relationships with parents, colleagues, and students / campers
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual English / French preferred

Work Schedule : M-F 10am - 6pm

Compensation : Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials.

This 12-month, full-time position begins as soon as possible.
