This is a position as an Independent Contractor 2024-2025 School Year Skills and Requirements include : ASL fluency Proven ability to effectively interpret between ASL and English, as demonstrated by one of the following : VQAS Level III (II acceptable with experience) EIPA score of 3.
5 or higher RID certification Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently, including monitoring own schedule, arriving on-time to customer worksites, and handling situations as they arise in the field.
High-school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Duties and Tasks : Convey the message and intent of the speaker in a linguistically and culturally equivalent manner in English and / or ASL.
Adhere to the ethical standards set by the RID-NAD Code of Professional Conduct. Attend assigned interpreting engagements and complete required company reporting on-time.
