Company Description

Are you a high-performer who wants to contribute to a mission-driven and values-based organization? If you are motivated by doing impactful work and making a difference in people’s lives, then the Indiana University Foundation (IUF) is the place for you.

At the IUF, we believe in making the dream of higher education attainable, providing support for life-changing research, and preparing the next generation of leaders.

As a trailblazer among our peers, we provide fundraising leadership and endowment stewardship to support needs and initiatives across all of Indiana University’s campuses.

As part of our team, you will help make IU donors' dreams last forever.

At the IUF we work hard, celebrate achievements, and foster an environment where everyone’s contributions matter. We are nimble and innovative, and we want you to bring your ideas and energy to join forces with some of the best talent in our industry.

In addition to being part of a meaningful mission as an IUF employee, you’ll find there are many ways to connect and collaborate.

Our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives ensure that our colleagues are celebrated for who they are and have a voice.

Our FUNdation (see what we did there?) Committee helps us connect and unwind with food truck lunches, holiday gatherings, costume contests, free snacks, IU spirit-wear Fridays, and spontaneous gestures that surprise and delight.

Our Wellness Committee ensures that the health and well-being of our employees is top of mind, offering yoga, a lunchtime walking group, meditation breaks, the Headspace app, and topical workshops.

We encourage community leadership and service and make space for our staff to pursue their passions. Our total rewards philosophy ensures that we support employees financially, emotionally, and in their career growth.

If the IUF sounds like a fit for you, we invite you to join us today.

Job Description

This is a mobile role, with team meetings every other week in our Indianapolis office, regular travel to meet with donors in Indianapolis, around Indiana, and quarterly travel across the US.

The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a dynamic and innovative Associate Director of Development, Latino Philanthropy to lead our brand-new Latino Philanthropy Circle (LPC).

As a key member of our Affinity Giving team, you will play a pivotal role in building a thriving community of IU Latino donors and volunteers.

Your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for fundraising and community engagement will inspire others to support innovative initiatives and create a lasting legacy.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Affinity Giving, you will serve as staff liaison to the Latino Philanthropy Circle (LPC), lead fundraiser, and point of contact for donors and volunteers, articulating a clear vision and inspiring others to follow.

Your portfolio of donors will range from leadership annual giving prospects to donors with major gift potential, soliciting support at all monetary levels to Latino Philanthropy Circle gift accounts.

You will plan and execute volunteer meetings, develop innovative engagement opportunities that inspire others to support the LPC and IU, and spearhead fundraising initiatives on behalf of LPC.

Working closely with your AVP and key volunteers, you’ll identify new prospects and cultivate relationships with current giving circle members, donors, or individuals who seek to engage with or support IUF’s LPC and broader Latino Initiatives across Indiana University.

Additionally, this role collaborates with staff liaisons for the Black Philanthropy Circle (BPC), Queer Philanthropy Circle (QPC), Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council (WPLC), Parent & Family Giving, and Indiana University Alumni Association (IUAA) Affinity Engagement to achieve outcomes that advance the mission of the university and LPC.

Each year, the Affinity Giving circles award more than $400,000 to innovative programs and crucial initiatives across Indiana University’s ecosystem.

The Associate Director of Development will play an instrumental role in preparing the Latino Philanthropy Circle’s participation in the annual grant program, including collaborating with LPC members to develop grantmaking priorities that align with the needs and goals of the Latino community at IU.

IUF looks for opportunities to help you level up through trainings, conferences, classes, and certifications that will directly improve your skillset.

We want to invest in you! Grow your career and help further the mission of maximizing private support for Indiana University. Apply today!
