Expected Outcomes and Requirements : Gateway is hiring a GIS Analyst to apply their GIS knowledge, mapping acumen, and geospatial capabilities to support our operational plans to reach 500,000 homes in the coming years.

The GIS Analyst is expected to contribute in the following significant ways : Perform quality data creation, organization, research, and analysis for GIS products.

Facilitate data creation, management, and distribution activities to support GIS initiatives, including FTTH / Telecommunication Network design and drafting.

Support in designing and creating our geospatial database. Execute work in compliance with GIS standards and quality policies.

Leverage out of the box and custom software solutions to perform GIS data management and analytical tasks. Utilize existing information and perform research to support and enhance our New Markets data set and positively influence business outcomes.

Support and manage GIS applications in accordance with business demands. Plan, coordinate, and execute GIS activities to meet outlined goals.

Develop and adhere to quality control standards for system application. Engage as active contributor for work planning on projects.

Effective communication skills and the ability to provide consistent updates to managers on work progress or roadblocks.

Maintain current and future knowledge of developments in the GIS field. The successful candidate will bring the following to the table : Comprehensive knowledge and skills using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop Products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap).

Preferred experience in FTTH / Telecommunication Network design, OSP / ISP Fiber Environments. Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS Online and ESRI mobile apps (Web App Builder, Dashboard, Survey 123, Collector).

Spatial analysis and geoprocessing tools expertise (Geocoding, Joins, Spatial Joins, Field Calcuates, Editing / Creating Polygons, Georeferencing / Digitizing of Plat maps, Data queries, Data symbology, web-based mapping applications, WMS / web services).

Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks and activities. A strong attention to detail and consistency in execution.

Ability to thrive in an autonomous environment with minimal direct leadership. Genuine enthusiasm around learning, pushing technical limits, and unearthing new solutions.

Proven analytical thought process, exceptional attention to detail, and accuracy in work products. Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, or related field from a four-year university or college preferred.

Preferred experience in professional GIS capacity in utility or telecommunication sector. Ability to sit, view, and utilize a computer workstation for prolonged periods of time.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite (specific emphasis on Excel), familiarity with Google cloud-based products.
