In the role of Veterinary Medical Field Officer, you will oversee the Bureau of Animal Health and Diagnostic Services programs.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will oversee the Bureau of Animal Health and Diagnostic Services programs and enforce legislatively mandated laws and regulations within the Region 7 area to ensure effective animal disease surveillance and control.
You will lead a team of Domestic Animal Health Inspectors by evaluating investigation reports, offering guidance on assignments, regulations, and policies, and delivering veterinary services related to the management of contagious or infectious diseases affecting domestic animals.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is home headquartered in Region 7, which consists of Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, and Schuylkill Counties.
- The Veterinary Medical Field Officer Position is a challenging and exciting position which comes with a negotiable salary up to $131,208.
This position is eligible for a yearly incentive payment of $5,000, increasing further after five years of continuous service.
In addition, selected candidates who are board certified, may also be eligible for payments of up to $10,000 annually, increasing further after five years of service.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
One year of farm animal and / or poultry practice experience as a USDA accredited veterinarian.
Special Requirements :
This position requires possession of a license to practice veterinary medicine as issued by a state board of veterinary medical examiners.
Other Requirements :
- This particular position requires possession of a Class C non-commercial driver's license.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
