Job Description

This is a remote position. The ideal candidate lives in the Mid Willamette Valley within the general Salem / Albany / Corvallis area.

To join our team as a Residential Efficiency Training and Outreach Associate delivering technical trainings and engaging with residential contractors throughout the Mid Willamette Valley.

CLEAResult seeks a candidate with relationship-building, technical and customer service skills to grow with our programs and community impacts.

This position will be part of the program delivery team responsible for implementing innovative and equitable residential energy-efficiency programs on behalf of a client serving customers in Oregon and SW Washington.

The Residential Efficiency Training and Outreach Associate will be accountable for coordinating and delivering technical trainings specific to residential HVAC and weatherization best practices.

They will be asked to support contractors and other program partners helping deliver energy efficiency programs in the Mid Willamette Valley.

This position will also be tasked with developing, managing, and expanding relationships with relevant market actors in the area through ongoing outreach and quality assurance activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in energy efficiency building science principles and display a passion for developing relationships in support of program objectives.

• Act as local, on-site program and client representative, developing trusted relationships with contractors and other training providers within the region.
• Support the development of training curriculum aimed at increasing contractor capacity and ability to participate in program offers.
• Coordinate and deliver virtual and in-person trainings to audiences of varying sizes and backgrounds.
• Solicit feedback from contractors to assist in prioritization of training content and generate interest in trainings to ensure strong attendance.
• Collaborate with external training providers, distributors, and manufacturer representatives to align on messaging, leverage existing training content and increase influence across contractor base.
• Support quality assurance activities through the inspection of weatherization and HVAC measures.
• Act as a local program and company representative at various events.
• Report activity in the market on a monthly basis in a narrative format.
• Document all interactions with stakeholders.
• Travel throughout a defined territory to meet with stakeholders.

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have

• 5+ years combined work experience with Residential trades, non-profit organizations, community organizing, environmental advocacy, energy efficiency and / or project management.
• Thorough understanding of residential energy efficiency, building science, sales and technical principles, theories and concepts of HVAC equipment and weatherization best practices preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic tools including blower door, duct blaster, and flow plate preferred.
• Presentation and public speaking proficiency preferred.
• Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused.
• Strong Microsoft Office, writing and reporting skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate progress of task completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual communication skills a plus.
• Ability to work under stress, interruptions, and tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality; organized and process-oriented.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Available to occasionally work evenings and a few weekends supporting events.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug-screen prior to start date.
