Job Description
- Oversee and manage the financial aspects of retail construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of costs, revenue, and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to gather and analyze project data, including billings, change orders, and cost projections.
- Prepare comprehensive project financial reports, including cash flow projections, budget analyses, and variance reports.
- Conduct project cost analysis and forecasting, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate financial impacts.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly job cost reports and work in process (WIP) schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project accounting records, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Participate in project closeout processes, including final billing and project financial reconciliation.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve project accounting processes and procedures.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or construction accounting.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, practices, and software (, Timberline, Viewpoint, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
