Work Schedule : 12-hour shifts, 5 days a week

Day and night shifts as required.

Overtime is required.

Holidays and Weekends may be required.

Full or Part Time : Full-time only

Pay Range : $29 - 34 / hour (Depending on Experience)

JOB SUMMARY :

As an Electrician / Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our wallboard manufacturing plant.

You will work closely with our production and automation teams to ensure all machinery and systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Technical training, trade school certification, and / or 3 years of electrician experience required.
• Experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Successfully pass a skills assessment test for electricians.
• General knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, input and output circuits, motors, and controls.
• Ability to read general electrical prints and schematics and make detailed sketches.
• General knowledge of digital meters and 4-20 analog signals.
• VFD knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to properly align motor couplings.
• Ability to bend conduit (by hand and / or bending machine), run conduit, and pull wire.
• Ability to build and install control panels.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and control equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues with photo eyes, proximity switches, etc. providing timely and effective solutions.
• Install, inspect, and test electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform basic motor troubleshooting and wire them correctly regardless of voltage or rotation.
• Troubleshoot and repair all starters, disconnects, overloads, and breakers.
• Install and repair all plant lighting.
• Perform any fabrication work required for electrical installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inspection reports using a Maintenance Management System.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Practice good housekeeping principles.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Typically well-lit.
• The plant is not heated or air-conditioned.
• Moderate noise levels require hearing protection.
• PPE required on site.
