POSITION : Delivery Driver and Material Handler
REPORTS TO : Repair Shop Manager and Supervisor
LOCATION : Fresno, CA
SALARY : $19.00 to $25.00 / per hour, DOE

We also have a fully licensed professional contracting division capable of providing service for small to large industrial projects, including custom panel design and installation, PLC programming, AC drives, and transformer installations.
We are a union shop and employ IBEW Local 100 electricians and motor repair technicians.
BASIC FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and pick up of goods to specified locations. Responsible for safe operations of vehicle, vehicle safety inspections and maintenance, loading and unloading vehicles in a safe an efficient manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by cleaning, organizing and disposing of shop waste.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
- Loads and transports materials, supplies, and finished repairs (manually and / or using hand trucks, forklifts and cranes)
- Become familiar with delivery routes and customer preferences.
- Report and record damage to vehicles, product, equipment or property.
- Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety and the safety of others are not jeopardized.
- Clean and maintain multiple areas : hazardous storage, bake oven, sandblaster, paint booth, machine shop and steam cleaner
- Assist in organizing incoming and outgoing jobs, consolidate and locate jobs
- Neatness in personal appearance and the ability to establish and maintain good relations with fellow employees and customers by providing courteous, efficient and professional service.
- Collects and properly disposes of shop waste, scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping.
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing; daily ongoing communication with department staff.

Required and Preferred Qualifications (Skills, Education and Experience)
- Education : High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
- Experience Preferred : 1-2+ years of experience working in a repair shop environment
- California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Must be 25 years of age
- Must be able to safely bend, stoop, lift and move objects, max of 50 pounds. Physically capable of opening boxes, crates and other large containers using hand tools to unpack items received.
- Willing to participate in drug / alcohol / background screening.
- Initiative, the ability to work independently, flexibility, enthusiasm, resilience, self-confidence, and self-motivation.
- Must be responsible, reliable, honest, and independent.
- Forklift operation experience a plus
- Problem-solving : Analyzing complex situations and devising effective solutions for machinery and mechanical systems.
- Technical proficiency : Understanding and working with tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Hands-on dexterity : Skill in manipulating objects and tools.
